Sir Jamie Nelson, 4th Baronet, died 2 June, 2023, aged 73.
Jamie Charles Vernon Hope Nelson, was born 23 Oct, 1949, son of Major Sir William Vernon Hope Nelson, 3rd Baronet (1914-1991), by his wife the former Hon Elizabeth-Ann Cary (1927-2014), daughter of the 14th Viscount of Falkland (1905-1984); and married 25 June, 1983, Maralynn Beverly Pyatt Hedge, daughter of Albert Pyatt Hedge, of Audenshaw, Lincolnshire, by whom he had a son, Liam Chester Nelson, born in 1982.
Jamie Nelson succeded his father in the baronetcy, 27 May, 1991. The baronetcy was created in 1912. The son, Liam, born before the baronet's marriage is therefore barred from inheriting the title, which now devolves upon Sir Jamie's younger brother, Dominic William Michael Nelson (who was born 13 March, 1957).
