Amalia Rose Charlotte Snuggs [born 2019]

_. Sophie Louise Mary Snuggs [nee Carter, born 14 Oct, 1982], wife of Robert Snuggs, gave birth to a daughter, Amalia Rose Charlotte, 21 June, 2019.

Mrs Snuggs is a life long friend of the Duchess of Cambridge and is godmother to Princess Charlotte.
The Cambridges attended the wedding of Sophie Carter and Robert Snuggs at Letheringsett, Norfolk, in September, 2018, and Princess Charlotte acted as a bridesmaid to her godmother. Prince George was a page boy.

Sophie is a daughter of Mr Robert George Russell Carter (born 1953), of Letheringsett, Norfolk, by his wife the former Charlotte Miller. Mr Snuggs is the son of Mr & Mrs Philip Snuggs, of Pen Selwood, Somerset.

3rd Baron Westwood 1944-2019

_. The 3rd Baron Westwood died suddenly at his home, 28 July, 2019. He was 75.

William Gavin Westwood was born 30 January, 1944, the son of the 2nd Baron Westwood [1907-91]by his wife the former Marjorie Bonwick.

He succeeded to the peerage upon his father's death, 8 Nov, 1991. The peerage was created in 1944 for his grandfather, the 1st Baron [1880-1953], chief industrial adviser to the Board of the Admiralty in the Second World War, and a Lord-in-Waiting to King George VI.

Lord Westwood married 21 June, 1969, Penelope, daughter of Dr Charles Edgar Shafto, of Newcastle upon Tyne, by whom he had issue, two sons.

The peerage now passes to his elder son, the Hon [William] Fergus Westwood, who was born 24 November, 1972.

Maj Ker leaves two children, Alan and Sheila.

_. Doreen Baroness Strabolgi, who died 8 July, 2019, was the fourth wife, and widow, of the 11th Baron Strabolgi [1914-2010].

She was the former Doreen Margaret Morgan, daughter of Alexander Morgan, of Ashton-under-Lyne, co Lancaster, and married Lord Strabolgi, 3 June, 1961.

Her husband, David Montague de Burgh Kenworthy, succeeded his father in the peerage in 1953. The ancient title was created by Writ of Summons in 1318. Lord Strabolgi was elected to the House of Lords in 1999, and served as a deputy Speaker [Labour].

The funeral takes place at St Peter's Church, Eaton Square, London, 24 July, 2019.

Mrs Laurence [nee Symonds] who was 90, was the widow of Commander Guy Stewart Laurence, and the mother of two sons, Jonathan, and Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, KCVO, husband since 1992 of HRH The Princess Royal. Her husband had distinguished naval ancestors, being a great-great grandson of Admiral Sir Robert Moorsom, KCB, who was with Nelson at Trafalgar.

The funeral and Thanksgiving Service will be held at St Giles Church, Great Wishford, 20 July, 2019.
