_. Betty Baroness Grantchester, who died 2 Feb, 2019, was the widow of the 2nd Baron Grantchester [1921-95].
Born Elizabeth Moores, 8 June, 1925, daughter of the billionaire businessman Sir John Moores [1896-1993], by his wife the former Ruby Knowles [1894-1965]; married 12 Apr, 1947, Kenneth Best Suenson-Taylor, who succeeded his father, 2 July, 1976, as the 2nd Baron Grantchester.
Lady Grantchester's son, Christopher, is 3rd Baron Grantchester.
A Memorial Service takes place at St Martins-in-the-Fields, 4 September, 2019.
