Hon Ivy Lascelles [born 2018]

_. Annika Elizabeth Lascelles, styled Viscountess Lascelles [nee Reed, born 1984], wife of Alexander Edgar Lascelles, styled Viscount Lascelles (b 13 May, 1980), gave birth to a daughter, the Hon Ivy Lascelles, October, 2018.

Viscount Lascelles is the second son and heir of the 8th Earl of Harewood (b 1950), of Harewood House, Leeds, West Yorkshire, by his former wife the former Margaret Rosalind Messenger, & Annika Elizabeth Reed (born 1984), daughter of William J. Reed, by his wife the former Rosalind Driver.

Alexander, known as Orly Lascelles, is a great-grandson of HRH The Princess Royal, Countess of Harewood (1897-1965).

Dalrymple/O’Meara engagement

_. The engagement has been announced between William Hew Dalrymple (born 1992) scion of the Earls of Stair, son of the Hon Michael Colin Dalrymple (born 1965), of Oxenfoord, Midlothian, by his wife the former Harriet Lucy  Buxton (born 1962) scion of the Buxton baronets, and Sophie Anne Cotton O’Meara (born 1992) daughter of Joseph C O’Meara (b 1962) of Monks Kirby, Warwickshire, by his wife the former Tracey A Darcy.

William’s grandmother, Davina Countess of Stair, who died in 2017, was a niece of Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.

Hon Charles Savile 1934-2018

_. The Hon Charles Anthony ‘Tony’ Savile, who died 4 October, 2018, aged 84, was a scion of the Earls of Mexborough, a younger son of the 7th Earl (1906-80); and a younger brother of the 8th Earl; married 5 Nov, 1966, Zita Loretta White, by whom he had issue; 


Memorial Service on Monday, 19 November 2018, at the Church of St Andrews and The Holy Cross, Much Hadham, Herts.

Sir Nicholas Brownrigg, 5th Baronet 1932-2018

_. Sir Nicholas Brownrigg, 5th Baronet, died in California, 28 September, 2018. He was 85.
He was born in 1932, son of Gawen Egremont Brownrigg (1911-38) by his wife Baroness Lucia von Bronsini; succeeded to the baronetcy upon his grandfather’s death, 1939; married firstly 1959 (div 1965) Linda Louise Lovelace, by whom he had a son and a daughter; married 2ndly 1971, Valerie Ann Arden; succeeded by his son, Michael, who was born in 1961.

Viscountess Slim 1934-2018

_. The Viscountess Slim died 16 October, 2018, wife of the 2nd Viscount. She was the former Elisabeth Joan Spinney, born in 1934, daughter of Arthur Rawdon Spinney (1889-1973) by his wife the former Cecil Joan Glegg (1896-1991); married 1958, John Slim, 2nd Viscount Slim (born 20 July,  1927) son of Field Marshal The 1st Viscount, KG GCMG GCVO GBE DSO MC (1891-1970).
Lady Slim is survived by her husband, 2 sons and a daughter.
The funeral taskes place at Chelsea Old Church, 30 Oct, 2018.

The 8th Baron Kensington 1933-2018

 The 8th Baron Kensington, who lived in Natal, South Africa, died 12 September, 2018. He was 84.

Hugh Ivor Edwardes was born 24 November, 1933, son of the Hon Hugh Owen Edwardes [who died 1937] [2nd son of the 6th Baron Kensington] and of Angela Dorothea [who married 2ndly, 1951, Lt Commander John Hamilton, RN], daughter of the late Lt-Col Eustace Shearman, 10th Hussars; he succeeded to the peerage [cr 1776, Ireland] on the death of his uncle, 1981. He married in 1961, Juliet Elizabeth Massy Anderson, by whom he had two sons and one daughter. The peerage now passes to the elder son, the Hon William Owen Alexander Edwardes [born 21 July, 1964].

Arthur Michael William Matthews (born 2018)

Philippa Charlotte (Pippa) Matthews (nee Middleton, born 1983), wife of James Matthews, gave birth to a son, Arthur Michael William, 15 October, 2018.

Philippa Charlotte Middleton was born 6 September, 1983 and is descendant of the Conyers baronets, the younger daughter of Michael Middleton by his wife the former Carole Elizabeth Goldsmith, and younger sister of HRH The Duchess of Cambridge.

James Spencer Matthews was born 21 Aug 1975, son of David H. Matthews, by his wife Jane.

Hon Dominic Elliot 1931-2018

The Hon Dominic Elliot, society figure, scion of the Earls of Minto, died 3 October, 2018, aged 87.
 
Elliot, a prominent society figure in the 1950s and 1960s was a frequent escort of Princess Margaret and later a member of the Mustique set.

He was born in 1931, son of the 5th Earl of Minto, by his wife the former Marion Cook; married firstly 1962 (div 1970)
Countess Marianne Esterházy (whose mother was the six-times married Etti Gräfin von Wurmbrand-Stuppach); married 2nd 1983 Jane Caroline Reeve.

Samuel Rodd Morshead, MBE1955-2018

_. Samuel Morshead, MBE, who died 25 September, 2018, aged 63,was the scion of a landed gentry family, of Lamerton, and was descended from the Salusbury-Trelawny baronets, of Trelawne, Cornwall.
 
Samuel Rodd Morshead was born 11 June, 1955, the second son of Christopher William Trelawny Morshead, MC (b 1910), by his first wife the former Anne Frances Hope Rodd, scion of that landed family, of Trebartha Hall, Launceston, Cornwall.
 
Samuel Morshead was twice married. he married firstly, 1980 (div 1991), Annabelle Carol Elizabeth Bates (b 1955), a granddaughter maternally of Sir Christopher Musgrave, 6th Baronet; married 2ndly, Susan ______ (deceased).
 
Charles Morshead, a son from Samuel's first marriage, married in 2013, Louise Nicolson, scion of the Lords Saltoun, and descended from Queen Victoria, being descended from the Queen-Empress's granddaughter, Princess Patricia of Connaught (afterwards Lady Patricia Ramsay), &c.
