The engagement was announced 2 June, 2023, between George Mungo Pyne (Geordie) Mackay-Lewis (born 1985), son of Maj. Jonathan Charles Mackay-Lewis and his wife the Hon Virginia Charlotte Alexandra Campbell (born 19 Oct 1948), of Gattertop, Herefordshire, & Venetia Louise McCready (born 1991), daughter of John F. McCready, of Eastbury, Berkshire, and his wife the former Alison J. Perreau.
Geordie Mackay-Lewis is a grandson maternally of the 3rd Baron Colgrain (1920-2008).
