Vincent James Yorke, who died 12 May, 2023, aged 81, was a scion of the Earls of Hardwicke.
He was born 16 February, 1942, second son of Maj. Gerald Joseph Yorke (1901-1983), and his wife the former Angela Vivien Duncan (1907-1988); married December, 1970, Francine Barker (b 1945), daughter of Frank William Barker (1896-1968), of the White House, Hythe, Kent, and his wife the former Irene Sheppard, by whom he had issue, three daughters, Griselda Rose (b 1973), Hester Mary (b 14 Jul 1974), and Sophie Catherine (b 17 Jun 1977).
