The engagement was announced 3 June, 2023, between Charlie Garland, son of Mr and Mrs Nigel Garland, of Aldermaston, Berkshire, & Kate Helen (Kitty) Russell (born 1989), 2nd daughter of Christopher Russell (born 1949), of St Peter Port, Guernsey, and his wife the Hon Victoria Ann Seely (born 23 December, 1957), 3rd daughter of the 4th Baron Mottistone (1920-2011).
