The engagement was announced 24 June, 2023, between Rajiv Shah, son of Mr and Mrs Kieran Shah of Bel Ombre, Seychelles, and Tamara Sophia D. Egerton Leigh (born 13 May, 1987), scion of the Leigh landed family of West Hall, daughter of Sir Edward Julian Egerton Leigh, MP (born 20 July, 1950), Conservative MP for Gainsborough, and his wife the former Mary Goodman (born 20 Oct, 1959).
Lady Leigh's mother is Sophie Vladimirovna Kleinmichel, Countess Kleinmichel (born on 27 March 1930), the daughter of Vladimir Petrovich Kleinmichel, Count Kleinmichel and Marie Gräfin von Carlow.
