The Hon Alastair Hoyer Millar who died 20 May, 2023, aged 86, was a scion of the Barons Inchyra.
Alastair James Harold Hoyer Millar was born 13 November, 1936, second son of the 1st Baron Inchyra, GCMG, CVO (1900-1989), the diplomat, sometime Ambassador to West Germany, and his wife the former Anna Judith Elizabeth van Swinderen (1906-1999); and married 20 February, 1974, Virginia Margaret Diana Macauley (born 1 Nov, 1950), daughter of William Perine Macauley (1922-1990), and his wife the former Hon Diana Phyllis Berry (1924-1995), daughter of the 1st Viscount Camrose (1879-1954); by whom he had a son, Mark Christian Frederick (born 12 Mar, 1975), and a daughter, Martha Harriet Alice (born 17 Dec, 1976).
