The engagement was announced 10 January, 2026, between Jack Andrew D. Kane (born 1998), son of Jonatehan Stephen Henry Arthur Kane (born October, 1965), of Chelsea, London, and his wife the former Hon Clarinda Jane Weir (born 22 May, 1968), and Martha Rose Torrington (born 5 June, 1999), daughter of Paul G.F. Torrington (born 1959), of Holton St Mary, Suffolk, and his wife the former Frances C. Partridge (born 1963).
Jack Kane is a grandson of 3rd Baron Inverforth (1932-1982).
