From the London Gazette: The King has been pleased by Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm dated 19 January 2026 to confer the dignity of a Barony of the United Kingdom for life upon:-

Farmida Bi, CBE, in the name, style and title of Baroness Bi, of Bermondsey in the London Borough of Southwark.

The shortest peerage title in the history of the Peerage. Many peerage names have three and four letters, but two! It's a first for Baroness Bi.

The title is pronounced to sound like 'Bee' and not 'By'.
