The King has been pleased by Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm dated 21 January 2026 to confer the dignity of a Barony of the United Kingdom for life upon Geeta Nargund, by the name, style and title of Baroness Nargund, of Wimbledon in the London Borough of Merton and Tooting in the London Borough of Wandsworth. The baroness is to take her seat in the upper house, 27 January, 2026.
