George Anthony Twentyman Turnbull, who died 17 June, 2026, aged 87, was a nephew of the 1st Baron Grantchester.
He was born 26 June, 1938, the second son of Stuart John Twentyman Turnbull (who died in 1991), and his wife the former Hilda Jane Taylor (1908-1983), sister of the 1st Baron Grantchester (1893-1976); and married 14 June, 1962, Petronel Jonette Rene Dunn (1941-2020), scion of that landed gentry family, daughter of Maj James William Thursby Dunn (1898-1969), and his wife the former Irene Henrietta Mond (1901-1972), niece of the 1st Baron Melchett (1868-1930), by whom he had issue, two sons, Robert and Timothy, and a daughter, Victoria.
