Andrew Martell died 8 July, 2026, aged 78.
He was born 5 April, 1948, the fourth son of Capt Colin Colenso Martell (1909-1985), and his wife the former Laline Marguerite Lucie Walton-Wilson (1917-1974), descended from the Craufurd baronets, and married firstly, June, 1971, Clare Lillywhite (born 8 Oct, 1947), daughter of George Lillywhite, and his wife, Maureen Davies; married 2ndly, 26 September, 1991, Shelagh Stephenson (born 1952), daughter of Commander P.J.T. Stephenson, of Sotogrande, Spain. He leaves two daughters from his first marriage, Maria Elfgyva (born 1972), and Perdita Rose (born 1974), and a son from his second marriage, Torquhil Edward S (born 1992).
Mr Martell was descended from Sir Charles Craufurd, 4th Baronet (1847-1939), and his wife the Hon Isolda Vereker, daughter of the 4th Viscount Gort.
