David Mark Norman, who died 12 July, 2026, aged 85, was a scion of that landed gentry family. He was born 30 January, 1941, son of Lieutenant-Colonel Mark Richard Norman, OBE (1910-1994), and his wife the former Helen McGill Bryan (1912-2004); and married 9 July, 1966, Diana Anne Sheffield (1942-2020), scion of the Sheffield baronets, second daughter of John Vincent Sheffield (1913-2008), and his wife the former Anne Margaret Faudel Faudel-Phillips (1913-1968), scion of the Faudel-Phillips baronets, by whom he had issue, a son, Jonathan Mark Ronald (born 1972), and three daughters, Anna (b 31 Dec, 1967), Isabella (b 9 Jan, 1971, wife of the Hon Timothy Knatchbull), and Davina (b 1981).
His wife died 10 February, 2020.
