The engagement was announced 10 July, 2026, between Pierre John Carrelet (born 10 June, 1997), son of Mr Manuel Carrelet, of Comporta, Portugal, and Mrs Peter Martin (nee Catherine George), of Hoe Benham, Berkshire, and Helena Rose Hadsley-Chaplin (born 1997), a daughter of Mark R. Hadsley-Chaplin (born 1961), of Mersea Island, Essex, and his then wife the former Lavinia Brodie Henderson (born 9 May, 1962, now Mrs James Gilbey, of London, wife of James Newman Gilbey, born 1956, scion of the Gilbey baronets).
Helena is descended from a brother of the 1st Baron Faringdon:-
