The engagement was announced 10 July, 2026, between the Hon Robert Julian Maitland Biddulph (born 8 July, 1994), son and heir of the 5th Baron Biddulph (born 8 Apr, 1959), of Makerstoun, Roxburghshire, and Sián Diana, Baroness Biddulph (nee Gibson-Watt, born 1962), daughter of the life peer the Baron Gibson-Watt, PC (1918-2002), & Maria Sophia Katarina Tawaststjerna (born 27 July, 2002), the only daughter of Ville Tawaststjerna (b 18 Oct, 1974), of Helsinki, Finland, and his wife the former Ewa Maria Karolina Sollamo (born 30 May, 1975).
