Very Rev the Hon Hugh Geoffrey Dickinson, who died 30 July, 2025, aged 95, was a scion of the Barons Dickinson.
He was Chaplain of Trinity College, Cambridge (1958-63); Winchester College (1963-69); Priest-in-Charge of Old Milverton (1969-77); Vicar of St Michael’s, St Albans (1977-86); Dean of Salisbury (1986-96), &c.
He was a grandson of the 1st Baron Dickinson (1859-1943), and a younger brother of the 2nd Baron (1926-2019).
He was born 17 November, 1929, the third son of the Hon Richard Sebastian Willoughby Dickinson, DSO (1897-1935), and his wife the former Mary Southey Lovemore (1903-2000), and married 29 June, 1963, Jean Marjorie Storey, by whom he had a son, Benjamin Mark (born 28 June, 1966), and a daughter, Teresa (born 17 July, 1964).
