Carole, Lady Guise, who died 12 August, 2025, aged 89, was the widow of Sir Christopher Guise, 8th Baronet.
She was born in 1936, daughter of Jack Nelson Streynsham Hoskins Master (1905-1979), of the Dower House, Crawley, Winchester, by his wife the former Ruth Isabel Body (1908-1994); and married firstly, in 1958 (div) Charles Edward Riou Benson (1935-2002), scion of that landed gentry family, son of Stephen Riou Benson (1896-1961), and his wife the former Phyllis May Hawkins 1900=1978; and married 2ndly, 7 November, 1969, Christopher James Guise (born 10 July, 1930), younger son of Sir Anselm William Edward Guise, 6th Baronet (1888-1970), and his wife the former Nina Margaret Sophie Grant (died 1991), scion of the Grant baronets. Her 2nd husband was a younger brother of Sir John Grant Guise, 7th Baronet (born 15 Dec, 1927), and succeeded to the baronetcy on the death of his elder brother, 15 May, 2007. She was widowed, 8 November, 2022.
Lady Guise leaves issue from both marriages. From her first marriage two sons, Charles and Edward Benson, and from her second marriage, Sir Anselm Guise, 9th Baronet, and Ruth.
