David Roger William Potter died 20 August, 2025, aged 81.
He was born in 1944, a son of William Edward Potter (1917-1997), by his wife the former Joan Louise Frost (1919-2008); and married 1stly, 17 May, 1966 (div. 1983), the writer Joanna Trollope, CBE (born 9 December, 1943), scion of the Trollope baronets, daughter of Arthur George Cecil Trollope (1914-2003), and his wife the former Rosemary Hodson (1919-2014); and married 2ndly 1991, Teresa Jill Benson (who died 2019); married 3rdly, 2019, Jane Thomson. He leaves issue from his first two marriages, daughters Louise (b 1969), and Antonia (b 1971) from his first marriage, and a daughter from his second union.
