The engagement was announced 28 August, 2025, between Rory Torquil Crichton-Stuart (born 25 March, 1995), scion of the Marquesses of Bute, son of (Patrick) James Crichton-Stuart (born 4 June, 1954), and his second wife the former Lady Rowena Katherine Meade (born 2 April, 1957), scion of the Earls of Clanwilliam, and Melissa A. Noucas, daughter of Ms Jill Glassman and Mr James Noucas, of Philadelphia, USA.
Rory is a descendant of the 1st Marquess of Bute, and a grandson maternally of the 7th Earl of Clanwilliam (1919-2009)
