The engagement was announced 25 October, 2025, between Finn Kenneth Redvers Carnegie (born 21 October, 1997), scion of the Earls of Erroll and Earls of Southesk, third son of the Hon Jocelyn Jack Alexander Carnegie (born 21 November, 1966), of Perthshire, and his former wife Susie Mhairi Butler, & Gemma Melanie Bown (born circa 1997), younger daughter of Andrew David Bown (born 1965), of Milford on Sea, Hampshire, and his wife the former Samantha Rose.
Finn is a grandson of Diana Denyse Hay, in her own right Countess of Erroll (1926-78), and is a great-great grandson of the 10th Earl of Southesk (1854-1941).
