Amorel Brandreth Nelson has died aged 84. She was a descendant of the Currie baronets.
Amorel Brandreth Hopkins (later Ryves Hopkins), was born in 1941, daughter of Brigadier Basil Hildebrand Hopkins (later Ryves Hopkins) 1899-1960, and his wife the former Madeline Alix Brandreth (1906-1993), descended from the Currie Bts, and married 27 February, 1965, David George Hargreaves Nelson (born 1933), son of Sir Amos Nelson (1860-1947), of Gledstone Hall, Skipton, North Yorkshire, by his second wife the former Harriet Hargreaves, by whom she had issue, a son, James (born 20 May, 1971), and two daughters, Lucinda (born 5 Oct, 1966), and Victoria (born 28 Apr, 1968).
