The engagement was announced 31 August, 2022, between Edward Peter George Sankey [born 1994], son of Peter William Richard Sankey [born 1953], of Worfield, Shropshire, and his wife the former Sarah Caroline Aileen Lea [born 18 March, 1956], scion of the Lea baronets, and Georgina Wright, daughter of Mr & Mrs David Wright, of Rake, Hampshire.
Ed Sankey is descended paternally from the Milburn baronets:-
Sir Leonard Milburn, 3rd Baronet > Darea Joan Milburn > Peter Sankey > Edward Sankey
He descends maternally from the Lea baronets:-
Sir Thomas Sydney Lea, 2nd Baronet > John Sydney Birch Lea > Sarah Lea > Ed Sankey
