The engagement was announced 14 June, 2025, between Samuel John Maximilian Kennerley (born 1992), the only son of Peter Dilworth Kennerley, TD (born 1956), of Auchendrane, Ayrshire, and his wife the Hon (Anne Marie) Ghislaine du Roy Galbraith (born 14 December, 1957), and Mhairi Elliott (born 1992), eldest daughter of Stephen Elliott, of Largs, Ayrshire, and Mrs Lorraine Mackenzie White.
Sam Kennerley is a nephew of the 2nd Baron Strathclyde, CH, PC.
