Roderick Francis [Roddy] Loder-Symonds died 25 August, 2021, aged 82. He was a scion of that landed gentry family.
He was born in 1938, a son of Brigadier Robert Guy Loder-Symonds, DSO, MC [1913-45], and his wife the former Merlin Audey Allen [1915-88]; married 1967, Caroline Anne Beebee [born 1940], scion of that landed gentry family, daughter of Commander Meyrick Frederick Legge Beebee, RN [1910-88], and his wife the former Jean Mary Joy Walker, by whom he had two sons, Robert and James, and a daughter, Sacha.
