_. Sir Richard Clay, 7th Baronet, died 28 November, 2020. He was 80.
Richard Henry Clay was born 2 June, 1940, the son of Sir Henry Felix Clay, 6th Baronet [1909-1985], and his wife the former Phyllis Mary Paramore [died 1997]; and succeeded to the baronetcy on his father's death in July, 1985; educated at Eton; FCA. He married 14 September, 1963, Alison Mary Fife, daughter of Dr James Gordon Fife, by whom he had issue, three sons and two daughters. The eldest son, Charles Richard Clay, born 18 Dec, 1965, succeeds to the baronetcy, created in 1841, for his ancestor, William Clay, MP for Tower Hamlets, and Secretary of the Board of Control for India, 1839-41, &c.
