The engagement was announced 5 December, 2020, between Joseph Peter Manners [born 1991], scion of the Barons Manners, son of Charles Henry Manners, [born 21 October, 1957], of Woodend, Northamptonshire, and his wife the former Nichola E. Thompson, & Alice F. Murray, elder daughter of Mr & Mrs Ross Murray, of Llanover, Monmouthshire.
Joseph Manners is a grandson of the Hon Thomas Jasper Manners [born 12 Dec, 1929], and a great-grandson of the 4th Baron Manners [1897-1972], and his wife Mary Edith Gascoyne-Cecil [1900-94], a granddaughter of the 3rd Marquess of Salisbury, KG [1830-1903], Prime Minister three times for a total of over 13 years.
The Barons Manners are a cadet of the Dukes of Rutland.
