_. Hugh Macdonald Teacher, who died suddenly in Portugal, 1 December, 2020, aged 76, was a scion of the eponymous whisky distilling family. He was born 7 Dec, 1943, the second son of Brigadier Anthony Donald Macdonald Teacher, OBE [1905-69], and his wife the former Awdry Clarisse Macnaghten [1914-98], descended from the Macnaghten baronets; he married 14 July, 1977 [div 1995], Rosemary Anne Page Wood [born 17 Nov, 1948], scion of the Page Wood baronets, daughter of Sir John Hatherley Page Wood, 7th Baronet 1921-55], and Evelyn Hazel Rosemary Bellville [d 2009], scion of that landed family,
Hugh Teacher leaves a partner, Christine, and a son, James Henry Macdonald Teacher, born 5 July, 1979, to his wife, Rosemary.
