Victoria Mary Rose Whitworth, who has died aged 84, was a scion of the Buxton baronets.
She was born Victoria Mary Rose Buxton, 16 January, 1937, eldest daughter of Major Robert James Buxton [1908-68], and his wife the former Lilla Mary Alyson Pumphrey [1914-79], scion of that landed gentry family; she married 1stly, 26 April, 1958, Maj David James Faulkner [1932-93], a great-grandson of the 6th Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry, son of Lieutenant-Col Walter Douglas Faulkner, MC [1898-1940], and his wife the former Patricia Katherine Montagu Douglas Scott [1910-2012]; she married 2ndly, in 1999, Major-General Reginald Henry Whitworth [1916-2004], son of Aymer William Whitworth [1877-1976], and his wife the former Alice Lucy Patience Hervey [1887-1993], scion of the Marquesses of Bristol.
She leaves issue from her first marriage, four sons, John, Thomas, Matthew and Robert, and a daughter, Katherine.
