Sir Dennis Walters, MBE, who died 1 October, 2021, aged 92, was a former Conservative MP for Westbury.
Dennis Murray Walters was born 28 November, 1928, son of Douglas Walters, and his wife the former Clara Pomello. He was Conservative MP for Westbury, 1964-92, appointed MBE in 1960, and knighted in 1988.
He was thrice wed: firstly in 1955 [div 1969] to Vanora McIndoe, daughter of Sir Archibald McIndoe, CBE, FRCS [1900-60]; married 2ndly, in 1970 [div 1979], as her second husband, Celia Mary Sandys [born 18 May, 1943], daughter of the life peer the Baron Duncan-Sandys, CH, PC [1908-87], and his first wife, the former Diana Spencer-Churchill [1909-63], scion of the Dukes of Marlborough, daughter of the Rt Hon Sir Winston Spencer-Churchill, KG, OM, &c [1874-1965]; married 3rdly, in 1981 [div 2004], Bridgett Shearer.
Sir Dennis leaves issue, a son and a daughter from his first marriage, and a son by his second wife, and a son and a daughter by his third wife.
