Sir Thomas Michael Blake Crawley-Boevey, 8th Baronet 1928-2021

 _. Sir Thomas Crawley-Boevey, 8th Baronet, died 9 March, 2021. He was 92.

Career: 2nd Lieutenant, Durham Light Infantry, 1948; with Shipping Agents 1952-61; with the Consumers' Association, 1961-82; Editor of Money Which? 1968-76; Editor of Which? 1976-82; Editor in Chief of Which? magazines, 1980-82; Master, Girdler's Co, 1992-93, &c.

He was born 29 September, 1928, the son of Sir Launcelot Valentine Hyde Crawley-Boevey, 7th Bt [1900-68], and his wife the former Elizabeth Goodeth Innes [who died 1976].

He succeeded to the baronetcy, created in 1784, on his father's death, 4 July, 1968, and married 1stly, 16 Feb, 1957, Laura Coelingh [1932-79], daughter of Jan Pouwels Coelingh, of Wassenaar, the Netherlands, by whom he had issue, two sons, Thomas and William. He married 2ndly, in 2003, Judith Tillotson, who survives him.

The elder son, Thomas Hyde Crawley-Boevey [born 26 June, 1958], succeeds to the baronetcy.
