Peter Thomas Thistlethwayte 1933-2020

_. Peter Thomas Thistlethwayte, who died 8 October, 2020, aged 87, was a scion of that landed gentry family, formerly of Southwick Park. He was born 9 April, 1933, third son of Arthur Donald Claude Thomas Thistlethwayte [1903-1956], by his wife the former Hon Gwladys Eileen Berry [1908-55], daughter of the 1st [and last] Baron Buckland [1877-1928]; Educated at Eton, and the RMC; served as Captain, The Rifle Brigade, 1953-62, and was ADC to the Chief of the General Staff; married 5 July, 1958, Sarah Elisabeth Batt, scion of that landed gentry family, the younger daughter of Maj. William Frederic Batt, MBE, TD, of Gresham Hall, Norfolk, by whom he had issue, three daughters, Katharine Miranda, born 10 January, 1960, and Carina, born in 1964, and [Annabel] Tania, who was born in 1966.
