The marriage took place, 23 June, 2018, between Christopher Catesby (Kit) Harington (born 1986), Game of Thrones actor, scion of the Harington baronets, younger son of Sir David Richard Harington, 15th Baronet (born 1944), by his wife the former Deborah Jane Catesby, & Rose Eleanor Arbuthnot-Leslie (Rose Leslie, Game of Thrones actress) (b 1987), daughter of Sebastian Arbuthnot-Leslie, 14th of Warthill, by his wife the former Candida Mary Sibyl Weld, scion of that landed family.
Both Kit and Rose have royal ancestry. Kit is a direct descendant of King Charles II and Louise de Penancoet de la Keroualle, Duchess of Portsmouth, and Rose descends from Charles II and his mistress Barbara Villiers.
