Bridget Eleanor Ailsie Sackville-West (née Cunliffe) who died 4 March, 2026, aged 98, was a scion of the Cunliffe baronets and mother of the 7th Baron Sackville.
She was born 2 October, 1927, the eldest daughter of Capt Robert Lionel Brooke Cunliffe (1895-1990), and his wife the former Barbara Eleanor Cooper (1900-1970); and married 29 June, 1957, Hugh Rosslyn Inigo Sackville-West (born 1 February, 1919), scion of the Barons Sackville, son of the Hon Bertrand George Sackville-West (1872-1959), and his wife the former Eva Adela Mabel Inigo Jones (died 28 Feb, 1936). Her husband died 10 February, 2001.
She leaves issue, two sons, Robert, 7th Baron Sackville (born 10 July, 1958), who succeeded to the Sackville peerage, in 2004, and the Hon William Sackville-West (born 9 Jan, 1967), and by three daughters, the Hon Mary (born 10 Sept, 1960), the Hon Elizabeth (born 8 July, 1962), and the Hon Jane (b 16 Apr, 1964).
