Patricia Mary McCarter (nee St John), who died 28 November, 2025, aged 103, was a scion of the Barons St John of Bletso.
She was born in 1922, daughter of Oliver Beauchanp St John (1895-1970), and his wife the former Winifred Lyndall Fox (who died 1966); and married 27 December, 1941, Professor John Alexander McCarter (1918-2005), son of Alexander McCarter, of Almonte, Ontario, Canada, by whom she had issue, three sons, David, Robert and William, and a daughter, Patricia.
