David Francis Wakefield, who died 28 September, 2025, aged 83, was the owner of Ogston Hall, Derbyshire.
He was born 5 July, 1942, son of Frank Herbert Wakefield (1904-1988), who bought the Ogston Hall estate in 1973, by his wife the former Gladys Evelyn Stevens (1915-2003), and married in 1986, Caroline Diana Colvin Ingilby (born 9 September, 1949), daughter of Sir Joslan William Vivian Ingilby, 5th Baronet (1907-1974), of Ripley Castle, near Harrogate, North Yorkshire, by his wife the former Diana Colvin (1920-2013), scion of that landed family.
