He married in 1986, the Hon Emma Frances Vesey (born 17 March, 1951), eldest daughter of the 6th Viscount de Vesci (1919-1983), and his wife Susan Anne Armstrong-Jones (1927-1986), sister of Antony Armstrong-Jones, 1st Earl of Snowdon, GCVO (1930-2017).
He is survived by Emma Vesey and leaves issue.
