The engagement was announced 20 December, 2025, between James Alfred Foote (born 1999), son of Julian Denis W. Foote, of Cockley Hill Farm, Northamptonshire, and his wife the former Sally Ayres, & the Hon Matilda Yseult Boswell Prentis (born 2001), daughter of Judge Sebastian Hugh Runton Prentis (born 1969), of Somerton, Oxfordshire, and his wife the Baroness Prentis of Banbury, KC (born 24 March, 1971), life peer, who as Victoria Mary Prentis was Conservative MP for Banbury 2015-2024.
