Verity, Baroness Ravensdale, who died 10 September, 2025, aged 84, was the widow of the 3rd Baron Ravensdale.
She was born Verity Elizabeth Raymond in 1941, daughter of Neville John Burrows Raymond (1902-1992), of Winslade Down House, Basingstoke, Hampshire, by his wife the former Betty Unice Freeman (1909-1997); and married firstly, in 1968, John Adrian Bailey; and married 2ndly, 19 July, 1974, as his second wife, the writer Nicholas Mosley, 3rd Baron Ravensdale, MC, FRSL (born 25 June, 1923), scion of the Mosley Bts, son of Sir Oswald Ernald Mosley, 6th Baronet (1896-1980), and his 1st wife the Lady Cynthia Blanche Curzon (1898-1933), daughter of George Nathaniel [Curzon], 1st Baron Curzon of Kedleston later 1st Viscount Scarsdale and 1st Earl Curzon of Kedleston later 5th Baron Scarsdale later 1st Marquess Curzon of Kedleston, KG GCSI GCIE PC (1859-1925).
Her second husband, who had succeeded to the Ravensdale peerage on the demise of his aunt, Lady Mary Irene Curzon, 9 February, 1966, and succeeded to his father's baronetcy, 3 Dec, 1980, died 28 February, 2017, aged 93.
Lady Ravensdale leaves a son from her first marriage, Jonathan Andrew Bailey (born 1971), and a son from her second marriage, the Hon Marius Mosley (born 28 May, 1976).
