Lady Douglas Gordon, who died 25 August, 2025, aged 91, was the widow of Lieutenant-Colonel Lord Douglas Gordon, DSO (1916-1994), scion of the Marquesses of Huntly.
She was born in 1934, the former Bridget Ingham, daughter of Gerald Bryan Ingham (1906-1958), and his wife the former Nancy Charlton Arnison (1906-1951); and married firstly, in 1955 (div), as his second wife, Lieutenant-Colonel Alexander Oliphant Hutchison (1907-1973), eldest son of Alexander Hutchison, of Fife, and married secondly, 1963, as his second wife, Lieutenant-Colonel Lord Douglas Claude Alexander Gordon, DSO (born 30 July, 1916), sometime Page of Honour to King George V, fourth son of Lieutenant-Colonel Granville Cecil Douglas Gordon (1883-1930), and his wife the former Violet Ida Streatfeild (1886-1968), scion of that landed gentry family.
Bridget's second husband, who was raised to the rank of a marquess's younger son in 1947, was a younger brother of the 12th Marquess of Huntly (1908-1987).
She leaves a daughter from her second marriage, Sarah Alexandra Gordon.
