The engagement was announced 25 September, 2025, between the Hon Archibald Lyttelton Samuel Hood (born 16 May, 1993), eldest son and heir of the 8th Viscount Hood (born 16 March, 1958), of Loders Court, Bridport, Dorset, and his wife the former Flora Susan Casement (born 1959), scion of that landed gentry family, and Clara J.D. Deslais, daughter of M David and Mme Magali Deslais of Chuelles, France.
Archie Hood is heir apparent to the titles Viscount Hood, of Whitley in the County of Warwick (Great Britain, let. pat. 1 Jun 1796), Baron Hood, of Catherington (Ireland, let. pat. 2 Sep 1782), Baron Hood, of Catherington in the County of Hampshire (Great Britain, let. pat. 27 May 1795), Baronet, styled "of Catherington" (Great Britain, let. pat. 19 May 1778).
