The engagement was announced 27 September, 2025, between Sholto Richard John Talbot (born 1993), scion of the Earls of Shrewsbury, youngest son of David John Talbot (1960-2018), and his wife the former Margret Manson Cameron (now Plummer) (born 1959), and Katherine Mary (Kitty) Mayo (born 24 December, 1993), daughter of Rupert Charles Mayo (born 1963), and his former wife the former Philippa G. Keeble (born 1961).
