The marriage has taken place in Gibraltar, in September, 2025, between William Legge, 10th Earl of Dartmouth (born 23 September, 1949), son of the late 9th Earl of Dartmouth (1924-1997), and his first wife the former Raine McCorquodale (1929-2016), scion of that landed gentry family, and Diandra Luker (born circa 1956), daughter of an Austrian diplomat, and former wife of the actor Michael Douglas.
The new Countess of Dartmouth married firstly, 1977 (div 1995) Michael Kirk Douglas (born 25 September, 1944), the actor and film producer, son of actor Kirk Douglas (1916-2020), and his 1st wife the former Diana Love Dill (1923-2015), and has issue, a son, the actor Cameron Morrell Douglas (born 13 December, 1978). Diandra also has twin sons with ex-fiance Zach Bacon III, having used a surrogate mother, as well as an adoptive daughter, Imara.
William Dartmouth is a Conservative politician, sometime MEP for South West England and Deputy chairman of the UK Independence Party.
His mother, daughter of the novelist Dame Barbara Cartland, DBE (1901-2000), married 2ndly, 14 July, 1976, the 8th Earl Spencer, MVO (1924-1992), father of Diana, Princess of Wales (1961-1997). Raine, Countess Spencer married 3rdly, 8 July, 1993 (div 1995), Jean-Francis de Chambrun, Count de Chambrun (b 1936), but retained the style Raine, Countess Spencer.
William Legge, styled Viscount Lewisham from 1962, succeeded his father, 14 December, 1997, as 10th Earl of Dartmouth (Great Britain, let. pat. 5 Sep 1711), 10th Viscount Lewisham, of Lewisham in the County of Kent (Great Britain, let. pat. 5 Sep 1711), 11th Baron Dartmouth, of Dartmouth in the County of Devon (England, let. pat. 2 Dec 1682).
In June, 1999, the 10th Earl married the Australian former model Mrs Fiona Handbury (nee Campbell), former wife of Matthew Handbury, nephew of Rupert Murdoch. The marriage, childless, ended in divorce.
Lord Dartmouth has a son, Gerald Glen Kavanagh-Legge (born in 2005), from a relationship with television producer Claire Kavanagh.
The heir presumptive to the Dartmouth peerages is the earl's younger brother, the Hon Rupert Legge (born 1 January, 1951).
