The Lady Frances Pearson, who died 4 July, 2023, aged 96, was a sion of the Marquesses of Tweeddale.
Frances Elizabeth Ann Hay was born 27 October, 1926, the fourth daughter of the 11th Marquess of Tweeddale (1884-1967), and his first wife the former Marguerite Christine Ralli (who died 15 Oct, 1944), scion of the Ralli baronets; and married on her 30th birthday, 27 October, 1956, Nigel Arthur Pearson (1925-1975), son of Sir Neville Pearson, 2nd Baronet (1898-1982), and his wife the Hon Mary Angela Mond (1901-1937), daughter of the 1st Baron Melchett (1868-1930). No issue of the marriage.
Her sisters were (1) Lady Hélène Candida Hay (1913-2011), who married the newspaper proprietor the 2nd Viscount Kemsley, (2) Lady Marguerite Georgina Hay (1916-2003), and (3) Lady Christine Daphne Hay (1919-2000).
