David William Leslie Medlicott Vereker, who died 9 July, 2023, aged 92, was a scion of the Viscounts Gort.
He was born 19 October, 1930, second son of Capt Stanley Lloyd Medlicott Vereker (1899-1967), and his wife the former Elaine Eileen Edwards (1898-1982); and married 24 April, 1964, Jane Elizabeth Gairdner (born 1935), daughter of Alan Campbell Gairdner (1900-1977), and his wife the former Elizabeth Rosemary Crimp, by whom he had two sons, William (b 19 Dec, 1966), and Henry (b 2 Jun 1969).
