_. Anne, Lady Jaffray, who died 15 March, 2021, aged 101, was the widow of Colonel Sir William Edmund Jaffray, 4th Baronet [1895-1953].

Anne, Lady Jaffray, was one of Bletchley Park’s wartime team of debutantes; she went on to be a county councillor in Hampshire, and was a well-known figure on the social scene for many decades.

She was twice married, both times to baronets: 1stly, on 11 Apr, 1942 [div 1950], to Sir John Godfrey Worsley-Taylor, 3rd Baronet [1915-52], son of Sir James Worsley-Taylor, 2nd Bt [1872-1933], and his wife the former Audrey Frances Philipson Philipson-Stow [died 1966], scion of the baronets of that name. She married 2ndly, 11 Oct, 1950, Colonel Sir William Edmund Jaffray, 4th Baronet [born 29 July, 1895], 2nd son of Sir William Jaffray, 2nd Bt [1852-1914], and his 2nd wife the former Alice Mary Galloway [died 1917].

Lady Jaffray, who was widowed 24 Oct, 1953, had a daughter from her first marriage, Annette Pamela Worsley-Taylor [later Shiel], MBE [1944-2015], and from her second marriage, a son, Sir William Otho Jaffray, 5th Baronet [born 1 Nov, 1951].
