The engagement was announced 8 Nov, 2005, between William, son of Mr and Mrs James Pope, of Didmarton, Gloucestershire, and Sarah Rose Biddulph (b. 1980), scion of the Barons Biddulph, daughter of Mr Simon Biddulph, TD (b. 1942), of Rodmarton Manor, Gloucestershire, by his wife Christina McCorquodale (decscended from the Barons Luke).
