Peter John Cator

Peter John Cator, who died 22 January, 2006, was a scion of the BLG family of that name, b. 26 Oct 1924, son of Sir Geoffrey Cator, CMG (who d. 1973), by his wife, the former Elizabeth Margaret Wynne Mostyn, scion of the Barons Mostyn; educated at Shrewsbury School, and at Cambridge; married 23 January, 1951, Katharine, daughter of Capt. the Hon. Reginald Coke, DSO (he d. 1969), scion of the Earls of Leicester; 1 son, Charles Henry (b. 1952), and one daughter, Caroline Sarah (b. 1954); Career:->served in World War II in the RAFVR and Welsh Guards (as Lieutenant) 1943-47; HM Overseas Civil Service 1949-62; Nigeria Senior District Officer Petroleum Industry Training Board 1967-82, &c. His home was Paxton House, Blockley, Moreton Marsh, Gloucestershire. Thanksgiving Service at St James' Church, Chipping Campden, 31 January, 2006.
