The engagement was announced 18 January, 2006, between Richard Max, second son of Mr & Mrs Anthony Max, of Orchard House, Holyport, & Emily Kate (b. 1975), the adopted daughter of Bryan Montagu Norman, scion of that BLG family, of Moor Place, Much Hadham, by his former wife, the former June Marsham-Townshend (b. 1942), sion of the Earls of Romney. June Marsham-Townshend married (ii)1980, Sir Ian Niall Rankin, 4th Baronet; & (iii) 11 April 2001, Prince Nikita Lobanov-Rostovsky.
